RTI  in West Bengal

The Government of West Bengal welcomes RTI Act 2005.This act mandate timely response to citizen requests for Government information. Attempts has been made for implementation of the Act in the State of West Bengal  and hence the major actions under taken are listed as :
 

	Appointed State Chief Information Commissioner (SCIC)
	Notifications issued to designate state public Information officers at the departments.
	Based on the Act, RTI rules has been framed
